The role transparency plays in government's functioning is akin to what sunlight does to a room that is locked for a long time. Hence, RTI is very important for India.
सरकारी कामकाज में पारदर्शिता का वही महत्व है जो एक बंद कमरे में सूर्य के प्रकाश आने का। अतः, सूचना का अधिकार महत्त्वपूर्ण है।
Without the weapon called RTI in the hands of the ordinary citizens, a lot of information crucial to the functioning of our democracy will simply lie hidden. The strength of RTI is the strength of citizens. Any dilution will harm Indian democracy itself.
REMEMBER - Rules for Commenting - Be civil, Don't get personal, Respect others.
