Without a respect for Rule of Law, there is no difference between a civilised society and one run by 'might is right'.

Rule of Law refers to the basic respect for due process in law, where, for example, the police cannot become the judge and jury, and every accused will get a fair trial to prove his/her innocence. Rule of Law means that individuals don't rule, the Law does. A civilised society believes in it as there is no other sure way of ensuring justice for one and all. Your views?
